From foot surgery to a half marathon!

Christina Robinson of Newington joined Big Sky after a friend recommended the gym to her.  She was overweight, unhappy, and worried about spiraling downward following foot surgery.  Christina’s mom had passed away from heart disease at only 49 years old, so she really wanted to improve her overall health and well being.Christina Robinson - before cropped

Christina began working with her trainer Kyle at Big Sky Newington and gave herself 6-12 months to start seeing results.  After 12 months Christina had not only lost 18 pounds, but she had lost 9% body fat, could bench press 100 pounds, and she had completed her first half marathon !!  When Christina had joined Big Sky following her foot surgery, she couldn’t run at all.  At that half marathon, her finishing place was 234 out of 1018 overall, and 36 out of 207 in her division.  We’d call those great stats !christina robinson - after cropped

We asked Christina for a few “words of wisdom” for people who might be just getting started with a new workout program.  She said her advice to others would be “Keep working hard, enjoy what you do, and the results will come… and be sure to forgive yourself along the way.  Not every bad day is the end of the world.”

That’s great advice Christina !
