Sadly, in our country today, 1 out of every 3 women experience sexual violence in their lifetime and 600+ women are assaulted every day. * Men too are affected by violence every day.
The best way to get out of trouble is to never get into it in the first place.
Defend Yourself Training (DYT) here at Big Sky features some of the most knowledgeable, easy-to-work-with Coaches in the area. Good people who are GREAT at what they do !
Our system of teaching draws techniques from Krav Maga, JKD, kickboxing, boxing, Taekwondo, and BJJ (Brazilian Ju Jitsu).
We combine different martial arts, so you’re equipped with skills that are proven to work — no matter your gender, age, size or strength.
We’ll help you recognize what tools you have, and you’ll train those tools into strengths. Strengths that you’ll practice over and over with your Coach until they become automatic, reflexive responses — that you won’t even have to think about SHOULD you ever need to use them.

No need to sift through the “self-defense studios” or UFC “fighter” gyms with intimidating Coaches and clients. Most of the time, those places focus on earning “belts” or winning matches in a cage or on a mat with a referee.
You’ll learn how to protect yourself, your children, your spouse, your parents… the people you care about… in real world situations. So if violence ever does come your way, you’ll know how to end it quickly and get home SAFELY.
