I believe sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Though change can be painful, nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.
I am a coach who has a never give up mentality, and am someone you can rely on to help lighten your path and reach your fitness goals. I have a positive outlook on life and sincerely want what’s best for those around me. Despite me always having a smile on my face, I am someone who takes effort seriously. I will do everything in my ability to help you find your own hidden potential, so long as you give me the same effort in return. Together, we will surpass your fitness goals and reach new limits!
I recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island (URI) with a Master’s degree in exercise science, focusing my research on exercise psychology – how do sessions of exercise impact our brain activity and our subjective perception of fatigue? During my time at URI, I was a division 1 strength & conditioning coach intern, was the lead Graduate Assistant for my research thesis, and presented my research at several regional American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) conferences. These experiences allowed me to work with a variety of clients,
ranging from those who were new to exercise all the way to collegiate division 1 athletes.
Outside of my academics, I grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut where I was quite involved in the community. I am a proud Eagle Scout from Troop 175, played the cello for 12 years (1st – 12th grade), and grew up playing hockey since 7 years old. I played several different sports growing up as I have always had a lot of energy. This continued in high school where I was a varsity cross-country runner, hockey player, and pole vaulter for our track/field team.
Regardless of my active lifestyle growing up, I understand the challenges and obstacles associated with exercise, which is why I am here to help. I have a passion for health and fitness, and am grateful to spread this passion with those I cross paths with in life. I believe my purpose in life is to help everyone I possibly can to reach their full potential and love themselves for who they truly are. I plan to do this through the best way I know how to.. fitness!
