Defend Yourself Training (DYT)
here at Big Sky features some of the most knowledgeable, easy-to-work-with Coaches in the area. Good people who are GREAT at what they do!
Our system of teaching draws techniques from Krav Maga, JKD, kickboxing, boxing, Taekwondo, and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu).
We combine different martial arts so you’re equipped with skills that are proven to work — no matter your gender, age, size or strength.
We’ll help you recognize what tools you have, and you’ll train those tools into strengths. Strengths that you’ll practice over and over with your Coach until they become automatic, reflexive responses — that you won’t even have to think about SHOULD you ever need to use them.
People who learn these skills tend to be calmer, more confident, and more at peace in their day-to-day lives. That “inner peace” comes with knowing that you can truly defend yourself AND protect the people you love.
No need to sift through the “self-defense studios” or UFC “fighter” gyms with intimidating Coaches and clients. Most of the time, those places focus on earning “belts” or winning matches in a cage or on a mat with a referee.
