“My belief in you is far greater than your self-doubt.”
People fall into exercise for many different reasons. Fitness, as a young gymnast was a top priority for me. In my excitement of my new favorite sport, I was the neighborhood kid who got everyone together to do workouts, but, like many, I lost my way in college, only to find myself in dire need of getting my health back on track.
After graduating college, I got caught up in the chaos of life, and remained off track. After putting myself in the gym, I quickly remembered my love for health and wellness, and my newly found interest of helping others on their own fitness journeys. I then fast tracked myself into becoming a personal fitness coach.
Now, 16 years in the field, with 14 of the most amazing years working with Big Sky members, I am a proud Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Nutrition Coach! While I don’t have children, I consider my clients my “Fitness Family!” I feel like the luckiest person to be able to work with individuals in becoming the best version of themselves! But health isn’t just physical health… it’s mental and emotional wellness, too! That’s why I strive to create a sense of community within my clients, because together we are stronger!
I strive to guide my clients on not just making time for themselves to get their workouts in, but to also build trust in their ability to give time to their own health, and to trust in me, their coach, their confidant, their fitness family, to make health and wellness a priority through focus on the mind, body, and soul. Fitness should be fun too! …that’s why you’ll often find me laughing and joking with my clients as we are kicking butt in our sessions!
While I was once a Pro Fitness Competitor in my early 30’s, I quickly learned how priorities change as one’s lifestyle changed, and that as my body aged I had to change my lifestyle. This greatly impacted how I evolved as a fitness conscious woman!
Although I spend the majority of my time working with Big Sky members of all varieties of goals, injuries, and interests, I’ve also worked with the CT Special Olympians on bringing health and wellness into their life, especially during the pandemic, with virtual training. The pandemic taught me how exercise has to change with us, to work with what’s presented in front of us. I now coach my clients both in club, and virtually, since health and wellness needs to be flexible, and quitting is NEVER an option!
That’s why I believe in a balance of getting out and enjoying life to its fullest, while understanding its role and impact in our personal fitness journey too! You’ll often find me eating a salad, but don’t think I’m not enjoying a margarita, a donut, or ice cream here and there with my husband, too!
Put your trust in me, and I will have your back 110%!
