She’s feeling stronger and more confident than ever—thanks to the expert coaching and encouragement she’s found working with Coach Bella at Big Sky Vernon.

 

Before Big Sky, I had entered my 50’s and my body was changing. My kids were grown, my health was declining, and I was losing my mobility and strength, as well as my confidence. I felt like I was lost, both physically and emotionally. I had no idea what the right direction to take was. With so many programs and “lose weight quick” systems (which I had tried) and medications available that I didn’t want to take, it all felt like a lie I was being told.

I came to Big Sky because I knew that if I had someone who would show me what to do it might work. When I signed up, I really didn’t know about the trainer program. I signed up for the intro and I knew this was my shot at a new chance. It was my time to see how strong I could be mind, body and soul. I signed up for 3 days a week, and I have never regretted it, not once. 

When I first met Bella she was honest with me and sincere. She wanted to see my goals become my realities. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She helped me see that I deserved to give myself a break. 

I am a very busy woman, I work two jobs, have three sons, run a business with one of my sons and have 9 chickens, four goats and two dogs. I expect a lot out of myself, and Bella supports me through all the good and the bad days. She holds me accountable which I need.

At first it was hard, I felt so weak and thought that my goals might be unachievable. One day while training I decided to be honest with Bella about my lack of desire to be there. Bella told me something that I will never forget…

“You show up based on your commitment to yourself and not how you FEEL” 

Just then, during that workout, everything changed for me. I made a commitment to myself… I was going to do something positive for myself instead of just for everyone around me. From that moment on I came to the training sessions with a new attitude. 

I had also admitted to Bella that my diet was not consistent and that all the tracking gave me anxiety. She created a meal plan for me that I could follow despite my busy life. 

After that the weight and body fat numbers started to change, my body started to change, and the part I didn’t expect was that my mindset also changed. 

I now have more confidence in myself. My life doesn’t feel like it revolves around food. I’m more at ease with myself now than ever before, I feel energized and alive. Yes, my busy life still makes me tired, and I have my days, but I go to the gym regardless. I know if I workout I’ll feel so good after.

Elizabeth’s story is proof that anyone can find the time, no matter how busy they are, and that the right support can help you do things you never thought possible.
