Burger Bowls !
Eating well and working out regularly are deeply interconnected – one powers the other. Without enough quality protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, you’ll have less energy, slower recovery, and reduced progress towards your goals. Think of your body like a Formula 1 race car…you wouldn’t put low quality fuel in a high-performance engine!
But if you’re like us, every now and then after a hard day at work, our race cars occasionally feel that urge to make a pit stop at our favorite drive-thru to grab a big, juicy burger! So when those cravings hit, why not try a lighter version that’s lower on calories but still packs in a ton of flavor? Complete with a special sauce to bring the taste to another level, these burger bowls are versatile, high in protein, and will leave you feeling satisfied for hours. Mix up the toppings with avocado, jalapenos, or even a fried egg. Enjoy!
Ingredients
For the Burger Meat
1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salad Toppings
Romaine lettuce
Tomatoes
Pickles
Red onion
Special Sauce
1/4 cup mayo
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon pickle juice
1 tablespoon dill relish
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Directions
1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and spices and cook until no pink
remains. Break into small piece as you cook it so it resembles crumbles
2. While the meat is cooking, combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and mix well to
combine
3. Assemble the burger bowls with romaine lettuce first, then meat and additional toppings
4. Top with special sauce and enjoy!
